The Line That Connects Us – Tracks in Time Dedication

Join SMART Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 49 and the City of Albuquerque for the official dedication of The Line That Connects Us – Tracks in Time, a new public art piece at the Albuquerque Rail Yards.

The piece celebrates the history of the Rail Yards and the connection between Albuquerque’s past, its working people, and the skilled hands helping build its future. Local 49 members helped bring the artwork to life through their sheet metal craftsmanship.

Event Features

Mayor Tim Keller will be present as the City of Albuquerque officially dedicates the piece as part of the City of Albuquerque Public Art Collection.

Members, families, friends, and the community are invited to attend and see the completed artwork in its permanent home at the Rail Yards.

Special thanks are also recognized on the project plaque to Worthen Memorials and New Mexico Travertine.
